If I’ve been stalked, so have you!

That’s right folks!
Who would’ve taught that it’s actually easy to find people online?

Scary? You betcha!

I learnt a couple sites that actually allow you to find people. And who better to learn it from than Pat Law!
No..she’s not our new lecturer. She used to study in Singapore Polytechnic and now works for Ogilvy! You know, that very famous PR company.

I felt stalked after I went to search for myself on one of the websites which I couldn’t remember what. (-_-)
With just a click of the mouse, I see photos taken from my blog, my Facebook account and everywhere else!

But then again, I guess when you put up pictures of yourself online, everyone’s going to see it anyways.
For all you know, someone in the other side of the world might have used your picture they googled online to show Asians. Well, just a thought.

Oh, yes, and Pat Law is just awesome! I managed to get a nice quote from her.
“Don’t be a stupid monkey!”
I guess, in this time and age, we need to educate ourselves on a lot of things so that we don’t get left behind.

Managed to jot this during the lecture. There are a few blog directories site such as:
-Technorati
-Google Blogsearch >> I loved this since I learnt about this in class last year.
-Icerocket
-Blogarama
-Ping.sg

Ok..basically to find out if you’ve been mentioned by people. Also a way to stalk them.
You know what they say: “You’re nobody unless you’re talked about”

And if you use Twitter which I believe everyone should be using, there are more than just one way to tweet.
Here’s some:
-wefollow.com
-mrtweet
-twitterfall
-monitter
-tweetdeck
-twitterfox
*I love using the last two.

There’s so much more that Pat Law taught us. But I couldn’t catch everything as I got distracted.
You can find out more about her here: blankanvas.bypatlaw.com
Oh, and did I mention she’s a Digital Strategist from 360 Digital Influence?
I think that’s such a cool title.

In the Thursday’s class, Priya and Lee Yan did their presentation first. The topic was Mobile Revolution.
Impressive stuff!
I can’t believe the first mobile phone weighed 9.8KG! That’s like carrying a pack of rice everyday!

They had a treasure hunt game that incorporated mobile technology and Twitter together. We were really into the game.
Afterwards, it was Kevin’s turn to present on how to do your own Podcast.

We got into 2 groups and our group did Video Podcast or Vodcast.
Time was running out for him to present.
Just felt like he should’ve been given more time.

The following day was on Continual Partial Attention which I felt was really interesting. The game they made us play was called Duck Duck Goose. Oh, and there is a difference between Multi Tasking and CPA. When you multi task, you give the same amount of focus to each of the thing you’re doing. But CPA, you can’t really focus. Like, doing work and being online on MSN at the same time.

Alrighty, gotta go prepare for my presentation this week.
Can’t wait.

See ya!
